Stories of Strong Women

Women are often the unsung heroes of our culture. These stories provide a glimpse into the history of our time by looking at the ordinary but remarkable lives of women. Some were historical characters, Molly Brant, Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Others represented historical struggles, Inez Millholand and the stuggle for the vote, Ruth Cohen and the labor movement. Others are stories of women that encourage us to wonder at life in the 1800s.

Folktales of many Land
Every culture has stories and more stories. When we hear the stories of other peoples we begin to understand their values and
Stories of the Heart Nasrudin, the Baal Shem Tov, and wise people of many lands revealed truth through stories. These stories call forth an aha moment of silence in the recognition of age old truths.
Seasonal stories
Ghost stories, Christmas stories, Solstice stores, Spring and fall, winter and summer stories. Stories mark the cycles of times in many cultures.
Workshop: You too Can be a Storyteller! The joy of storytelling is to meet the storyteller in everyone. And everyone is a storyteller. I can teach you to tell stories with intention. The workshop includes finding stories, internalizing them, polishing and coaching, and presentation. The program is designed for an aftershool time slot or a half-day workshop.
Design Your Own Program Stories are about life and its gifts. If you are celebrating, honoring, or recognizing a gift of life, stories can mark the event. Award dinners, bridal showers, opening a garden, school assemblies, library events, and others call for the story that is "just right".
